As a subsidiary of the Granite Games, the Throwdown tournament season was a more universal form of the "onsite" competition. It was born as a way to bring the Granite Games to affiliates, given that not everybody could make a trip to St. Cloud, MN in early September.
The identity needed to incorporate the Granite Games shield while also incorporating some new elements to make it unique. The result was an updated word mark for "Throwdown" as well as a color palette that identified what season it was in.
For each new season, a series of workout videos was required to launch the competition. This became a great opportunity to just play. The videos would then be used to establish a "brand" for that season.
My role was the full production; pre-production, production, and post-production for both photo and video, with some design collateral thrown in there for good measure. It was genuinely a creative playground.
Finally it was capped off by capturing event-day photo and video to use for the next round's marketing assets.
